If you’re anything like me, you are looking forward to making some fun treats for your kids. I started yesterday and Olivia got a kick out of these 4 treats I made…and had to sample each.
These definitely are pinterest staples, but lots of fun. Plus, you know if I’m making them without much effort, you totally can too.Fun, healthy and delicious #Halloween treats! Click To Tweet
On another note, I can’t wait to see all the kiddies dressed up. I get such a kick out of seeing all the cute costumes. Last year I did a bag of traditional candy and pretzels, this year I totally revamped my offerings. I am doing: Bitsy’s Brain Food, Annie’s bunnies, Annie’s fruit snacks, Boom Chicka Pop Popcorn and pretzels. I also have pencils and stickers for the teal pumpkin club!
Back to homemade treats!
I whipped these up super fast.
Banana Ghosts: Peel banana. Cut in half. Use chocolate chips for 2 eyes and mouth. I used Trader Joe’s chocolate chips for the mouth and Enjoy Life chocolate chips for the eyes because they are a bit smaller.
Orange Pumpkins: Peel a clementine. Cut a piece of celery into a thin slice, about 1/8th of an inch wide by 3/4inch tall. Stick in top of pumpkin.
Apple Monster Mouth: Cut a few wedges of an apple, 2 per mouth. If using a whole marshmallow, cut in half longways and then sliced so they are in cubes and look teeth like (or use mini marshmallows). Slather on some sunbutter or peanut butter on both sides of apple. Place “teeth” laying down on one side of wedge and put other piece of wedge down on teeth, nut butter side down!
And there ya go! 3 fast snacks.
But I know you’re wondering about the 4th one!
