17 Months…is FUN.
I didn’t realize how much fun having a toddler would be. Our days are way more entertaining than when she was a little baby.
I saw the idea for this post on Kelly’s blog so I thought it would be fitting for Liv’s 17 month update instead of a typical write up.
What Livs wearing:
She’s wearing all different sizes. I usually buy clothes in 2t or even 3t because I want her to get a good amount of wear out of them. I love finding great pieces on sale at crewcuts and gap because I know they are quality and will last.
I never ever pay full price at crewcuts and rarely at gap too. You can get such great deals that it’s silly to. I scored this adorable jean jacket at crewcuts for $20. I got it in size 3 so she can wear it for awhile.

Other favorite outfits:

What she’s loving:
Her baby stroller and shopping cart. She pushes these all over the house. She’s also obsessed with her babies. Other favorites: kid broom and vacuum. Interactive dog that sings. Music and dancing also top her list and Sesame Street too.
What she’s eating:
Favorite foods are almond butter banana muffins, toast, pumpernickel pretzels, larabars, carrots, trader joes fruit leathers. She also loves freeze dried fruit and apples shared with her dada.
What she needs:
Spring to be actually here. On the few nice days here we’ve spent hours outside. Saturday she was outside most of the day and was so so happy. It’s so hard to go back and forth between nice and cold because she just wants to be outside so much.
What she’s reading:
She loves playing with books and pretending to read them. Her favorite books to read are: Mem Fox’s Time for Bed, Baby Says Peekaboo, Look, Look (this one’s in her crib), and Olivia books.
What Liv’s grateful for: All the family we have around. We’re so lucky that we live so close. We are all grateful for that every single day.
Since the rest don’t really apply, I made up a few of my own.
We are officially off the bottle. According to our pediatrician we were supposed to stop at 12 months but we just started giving her whole milk in a bottle. We slowly dropped from three bottle to one over the past seven months. Olivia’s only had one bottle at night (6:30 p.m.) for probably 3 or 4 months now. Dropping the bottles weren’t really a big deal. We just decreased the ounces one by one every 4 or her5 days until 3 ounces then dropped it completely. (First mid day then morning then night.) I’ve been working on the 6:30 pm bottle for like 3 months. We were at 8 ounces and worked all the way down to 2, getting to two about 2 weeks ago. It was a long process.
On the 20th she was having her two ounces in the bottle and wanted more milk. I decided to let her have more but put it in a sippy cup. She drank it like there was never an issue. I’ve tried so many times to give her milk in a cup but she gagged every time. Funny that this is another example of when they’re ready, they’re ready. I’m so glad we didn’t force the issue. She’s off the bottle and hasn’t even looked back.
What Liv’s saying:
This is a list of some of the words she says but most of them are more like “wah” for water. I say some because I tried to think of them off the top of my head.
